Trust is a comprehensively allowing, accepting and embracing embodiment of the energies that exist in you. It is a process of grounding into your spirit. It is a quality of surrender. It is an unwavering decision to be firmly rooted in your feet and of inhabiting your body.
Sometimes, our life circumstances can lead us to believe that we are not doing something right. Thoughts like these can increase the possibility of anxiety or self-doubt. Because we observe that no one else believes in our life's direction the way we do or the methods that we adopt to lead it. And instead, choose to opinionate rather than support us for it.
When we are leading with trust, we surrender to the process, rather than fixate with the frivolities or obsess with control. This means that we have reigns on navigating the unknown, rather than controlling the unknown based on what we know. When we resort to control, we shrink our experiences to what we know.
Trust is a quality built within oneself over time. When you decide that you want to navigate your life from a place of not knowing what's next, it can humble you. Because now, you are no longer led by the mind's limited story of what it thinks should happen based on past experiences. Rather you are trusting your ability to read the room and lead with appropriate action or responses. This ability also stems from knowing yourself. In the process, you learn to reclaim and hold all those parts of you that earlier you might have willingly abandoned pursuing something outside of you.
It is easy to give our power away to the external world and buy into their realities. But the truth is that in our lives, we decide the way we show up, and the things that we want to believe in. It is our divine right to create our own free world and experiences. The external world can only inspire us or suggest our next course of action. But the intention with which we show up leads the direction of our process.
Trust asks us to stay. It requires us to face the parts of us we are most afraid of, that we want to run away from or those that we want to hide. It encourages us to extend compassion, empathy, and tenderness to those parts, to embrace them. To be there for them. It initiates us towards being vulnerable and to risk all that we are. All of this is for the person we are becoming. For the person we are meant to be.
Every time we pause, reflect, trust and follow through with an intentional action, the more we ground back into the reality of us. The truth of us.
