The other day after I wrote about identification, I observed that there was still an underlying energy. This energy had no conscious mind of its own. It just wanted to act out. To react, to control, and to just throw and tantrum. One, I assume that this is flared-up energy. An inflammation - a biological response of identifying oneself as an image. And two, habituated response.
Heat is produced when any kind of change occurs in the body. Identification is a characteristic that conflicts with our nature. So when we are constantly driven by this conflict a lot of heat is generated within. It encourages the need to rush. The flared-up behaviour is a reminder to seek respite for the inflammation.
Heat symbolizes an initiation for transformation. This is why a conscious response to any event can challenge you towards your growth or your fall. Let your conscious choices lead you towards your purpose. Every moment is an opportunity towards intentional growth.
This respite can take two forms -
One, Internal cooling: Consuming anything that cools down your insides. A cool glass of water, a cool cucumber, a refreshing orange or a cool glass of milk. These can provide a temporary respite to our body - which can biologically aid us in responding differently. I am not a nutritionist. Therefore, consulting them would be the best course of action to learn about food that cools our internal body.
Two, external cooling: Dip a towel into cool water. Then use this towel to cool your body externally. You can take a minute to scan and notice the areas that seem warm and flared in your body. Then using the towel, gently pat those areas, until the energy calms down.
You can also apply cooling creams to your body and massage the areas that feel active and anxious. Aloe vera gel can also help to soothe the inflamed areas.
These respites are external modes of support. The internal mode of change can only occur with conscious responses. So the next time you feel like acting out for no reason, remind yourself that this response is an outcome of habituation. With conscious shifts in your response - through awareness of the emotion, noticing your need to act out and shifting your habituated response, you can teach yourself to respond mindfully.
Another way is to notice your need to act out. And then channel your energy into the task at hand. By practising this, you are transmuting the nature of the energy. From a flared energy to that of a creative, productive energy. Be conscious of the energy that you subscribe to.
