On Experiencing Love

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs.

1Corinthians 13

Love is embodiment. Love is compassion. It is softness and forgiveness. Love is allowing, and it is unconditional grace. Love means to look beyond your definitions of what you thought Love should be. It does not contain. Love is free-flowing and experiential. It is momentous and eternal. Love is the stillness, and it is the space. Love is a deep sense of presence and trust. Love harnesses your darkness into fierce strength and expression. Love sees, it does not dictate. It is pure and nurturing. Love is remembering that there's more to what meets the eye. Love means to deeply belong to yourself and to extend that expression towards everyone else around you. Love means to remember who you truly are beyond others' limited perception of you. It is not an outcome, it is a process. It is transcendental. It is to look beyond the lens of expectation, perfection or need.

Love is not transactional. Love is the freedom to just be. It means to be firmly rooted in your feet. Love is unconditional acceptance of what is. Love does not judge, decide or determine. Love allows natural expression and progression. Love is undefined. We are not meant to understand love, rather, just experience it.
