It is a social navigator, a natural system. It unconsciously evaluates what is good and what isn't based on past internal experiences - in terms of social acceptability. When a certain parameter is used to navigate my inner self, I will use the same judgement for my external world as well. It's not personal. It is a survival instinct, a protective mechanism. As a human, creatively aligning the natural response with the conscious thoughts helps to express the abstract experience. Humans are wired this way. This system is in place to protect us from an unwanted outcome based on past experiences.
My conscious mind allows me the space to recognize and carry forward a stillness that is available to all of us humans - our spirit. This instils a deepened trust to navigate the various spectrums of life. I used to be resentful of my critical mind. Yes, it used to be hard on me too. But after unpacking the expressionism of this pattern clarified that it is here to protect me.
