On Creative Expansion

Creativity is expansion. You bring forth to life what initially exists as an inspiration within you.

If we can look at it in this way, our creativity is an act of service - to humanity and the world. Our ideas bring forth an expansion. It births new worlds.

It is natural to experience resistance before a change emerges. Because it requires us to break through the current realm of (collective) consciousness.

Creativity is the emergence of new systems and ideologies; new ways of thinking and being. It invites us to unlearn what we've known so far, so we can re-learn the essence of what is.

There are no rules or limits to creativity. We can simply tap into the energy that inspires us, and align with its expression.

Creativity is the expression of our consciousness. It is undefined. There are no confines to the limits of creative expression. It can take any form.

There are no measures or thresholds to creativity. It's simply moving. Like life, through time and space. From one form to another.

It encompasses care, a nurturing spirit, and a willingness to bare oneself. It inspires vulnerability and a chance to nurture human connections.

Creativity is the base of human evolution and innovation. Where there's an idea, there's an opportunity to enter new worlds and open up to new possibilities.

Connecting With Ourselves, to Connect with Others

The reason why people are so anxious and are getting ahead of themselves is because they have been following external measures. These external measures are cumulative patterns in the collective conscience that decide whether a person reaches a mark of perfection - whether they deserve something or not.

This means that since the beginning of humanity, we have been attuned to ideals and behaviours that are outside of us - the capacity of our nervous system. No wonder we naturally begin seeking validation and attention for everything we do.

Recently, I have been noticing a surge in individual-centred behaviours. By this, I mean one is constantly validating their own behaviours while dismissing or belittling others. This is a nuanced topic. It's good to know your needs, but it isn't fair to dismiss others'.

Humanity can nurture connections only when we begin accommodating each others' differences. This effect ripples when we begin accepting the contradictory ideas of ourselves.

Once we start becoming aware of our emotional patterns, at a point we need to confront our suppressed selves. These emotions were suppressed at some point because they weren't considered ideal. However, when we shine a light on our shadows, we are no longer in denial. When agree to shine a light on our suppressed self, we are learning to accept their presence. We are no longer dismissive of it.

This acceptance integrates these characteristics back into us, making us whole. Here on we can see the previously dismissed quality as a rightful part of us, and navigate life with this new information. We become protective and respectful towards ourselves.

This is why it's necessary to work with our nervous system. It provides a visceral map of our unconscious behaviours. It makes us aware of them. This teaches us to attune back into it, and our bodies.

Our nervous system is the seat of our presence and accelerates our subconscious mind to ground into our bodies. It teaches us to connect with ourselves, so we can connect with others.

How Much Can You Let Go, and Just Be Here?

Lately, waking up has felt like I've been physically hit by something heavy. So many revelations have emerged, and I have been taking my time to process them. All this has exhausted me, despite having revelled me.

I realized that from the moment we wake up, we are just constantly striving. I have got to do this workout, and I have got to read this book today, and I have to complete this course today and I have to submit this task today.

I reckoned that the heaviness I felt in the mornings was from having thoughts of a similar nature. I focussed on all that I had to do. And it just feels, drab. As if there's no end to this.

Maybe I have been focussing on the doing aspect so much, that I forgot to take a step back, and savour the right now. Just for a while, to not think about what comes next, and just be here now.

The burnout is real. When you reach this phase, even the most mundane tasks feel un-doable.

This is why taking breaks, or a pause is necessary. I was so engorged in the speed, that it didn't occur that I was tired, and it was time to take a step back.

These burnouts are physical, mental and psychological. Once it manifests in the body, the inflammation in the body can force you to a grinding halt.

Don't ever let it get to this point. There's no end to things that are happening around us. It can take months and years to see the fruits of your labour. It's all about the love, nurture and care that goes behind the scenes in your labour and adds to the strength and vitality of your pursuit.

You are Here because You are Integral

The reason all of us are anxious is because we are relating the worth of our existence, with some outer grand purpose. As if we'll get some sense of internal peace, once we pursue it. And if we don't, we need to get our sh!t together.

All of us play integral roles that contribute to the web of oneness. However, we when force structures onto people, it makes people work against each other. This creates friction and levels of disruption - anxiety, stress and competition. A mindset that leads us to believe that this is all there is and that we need to fight our way to keep our place in it.

Lately, I have wanted to live without having to explain myself or justify my purpose for being here. As I am unlearning patterns, I intuitively realise that my life exists beyond a justifiable purpose. My aliveness is a purpose in itself. I shouldn't have to explain the worth of my existence or my deservability for being here.

Do I not deserve to be alive if I am not fulfilling some kinda grand purpose or expectation?

In the web of oneness, everyone is but a manifestation of you. The idea of others is a mind pattern. When you start seeing yourself in others, you'll know where to nurture the disruptions within you, to connect with others in the external world.

When you internally dissolve ideals and are fully present to show up for the moment in front of you, you surrender yourself to the infinite intelligence of life.

We tend to get lost in the conflicting ideas of society's structures, moral sense, and self-preferences. However, when we surrender ourselves to life, it leads us through an organic route. We understand this through insights, internal wisdom, intuition, epiphanies and synchronicities.

When you free yourself from the labels and expectations, you are available to the moment in your fullest expression.

Nurturing a Home in Our Bodies

We live our lives in our bodies. We interpret our external world through our inner world.

Our inner world consists of our stories - our beliefs, our interpretations, our visions and everything that makes us. A proverbial sanctum sanctorum. Our primary conditioning also forms a part of our inner world.

Unbeknownst to us, we absorb ideals from our external environment as we move through life. Especially those from childhood. We believe that these ideals are us. However, as we are older, and we become aware of these patterns, we learn to differentiate the auto-pilot ideals, with those that we choose.

As we are unlearning these past patterns, we are bound to face hostility from our biological self, our identifying mind. Because we've gotten so used to certain ways of thinking, and believing. This hostility is expressed as triggers, as body sensations.

Our bodies have evolved to capacitate the conversion of sensations into thoughts (narrative/interpretation).

When we make space to allow the discomforting sensations without making them mean something about us, we integrate them into our wholeness. We create a home for the discomfort, without creating an irrelevant identity for ourselves.

Each phase of our life can reveal new parts that we haven't accepted of ourselves. And each phase is a learning process, created for us to evolve into the next. As humans, we never stop learning. It's all about moving forward.

Every time we follow this practice, it teaches us to embrace the suppressed, dismissed and unwanted parts of us. These parts have never been that. But, we've been taught to believe that.

This creates a fierce sense of confidence in our imperfect sense of being. We begin accepting our flawed, natural selves - and lead with our raw authentic selves. Reclaiming each part feels like it has returned home, to ourselves.

Once we begin accepting our real selves, people may reject us. Only because we trigger parts of them that they haven't accepted for themselves. Our mirror neurons help us reflect others in our kind, and vice versa. We can only see what we think of us.

When we accept every fibre of being, we no longer stand defensive of ourselves in the face of others. It's easier to work with our true strengths, instead of what's been asked of us. It's easier to assert our needs without having to explain them.

We feel comfortable being in us, as ourselves, and we don't wanna run from us.

You're Not Going to Feel Like This Forever

I had a sweet revelation during my pranayama practice today. I noticed an abstract feeling in my heart. It had a tone of slight discomfort, but overall, it was neutral. And reflexively, a response came to me - 'I am not going to feel this way forever'.

This statement felt incredibly caring and supportive. It's not that I was feeling my worst. It was more like a reminder. No matter what I feel, it won't last forever.

As comforting as the statement was, it can sometimes cause a sense of anxiety. Imagine that statement comes up when you're feeling good about something. It's gonna make you feel extremely protective and possessive about that feeling. It's gonna want you to control whatever is happening around you. You're going to want to hold on to that feeling forever.

It was then I realized that I could not control anything. Not my circumstances, nor my emotions. I do not have the resources or the technical knowledge to do so. I do not possess anything.

This realization was humbling, to say the least. I can cherish my moments more because now, I am aware of this. The time I spend with my loved ones becomes even more precious, appreciating all that they do(/have done) for us, and to linger every chance I get. I want to document and remember every moment of laughter, of the smiles, of the pain - and everything we did to overcome it.

It was an upsetting realization. But it also meant that I need to be compassionate about what I interpret, and how I respond to the people around me.

Still, this statement is comforting. It's nice to know that in the moments we thought we failed or lost out, we can still carry on. Life has a way of getting us back up on our feet.

The sun rises again, and you will too.
