Unity Consciousness

In my awakening journey, a concept was discussed a lot. That of 'Universal Oneness'. That everything works together. It's all interwoven and interdependent. Nothing is devoid of one another. And that mind creates separation, the idea of 'otherness'.

Something about this made sense, but I couldn't describe it. While I practised getting quieter, I could observe this.

As humans, we are differentiated (separated) through our bodies. Our nervous systems and our individual minds allude to the idea that our subjective realities are etched in stone. It is also built to respond to our present environment. Thus, in our bodies, and as our limited selves, we can experience just that.

Once we take the initiative to understand our emotional and behavioural patterns and the way we relate with others, we begin to observe a larger sense of objectivity in everything we do.

I noticed that every time I observed a pattern and responded with a healthy sense of self, I would usually receive a healthy response in return. Our state of mind is the precursor for all of our intentions and responses (behaviours) that follow.

Each response pattern and self-concept we shift in ourselves is observed in the external world. Like a ripple effect. This is why I firmly believe that in every pattern I heal (shift) within me, I heal (shift) something outside of me.

Hurtful, but something to consider

Our minds, our naive selves, can only correspond to our subjective experience. This subjectivity creates a separation between us and others. It also creates a separation between us and our experiences. It tries to control a circumstance with mind strategies that can sometimes get the better of us. This practice perpetuates anxiety. Because our limited mind only knows our subjective reality. But the truth is that infinite realities exist at once. Something that our minds can't comprehend.

There is a divine control that orchestrates everything in our life - that can sometimes feel disorienting, and sometimes like synchronicities and epiphanies.

When I believed that every little thing contributed to a larger tapestry of momentum, I became accountable for myself. I give myself space to notice my behaviours and respond with empathy and compassion. This allowed me to understand that other people's subjective experiences are visceral, real and valid to them. It also taught me humility, to not fight their realities. For I will never fully understand their real-time experience.

Everything you do ripples and propels outwards in kind. Stay aware. Be responsible. Be accountable. For yourself, and for humanity.

Surrender to the Nudges: Persist in the Process

When we are at an unknown juncture in our lives, we tend to cling to our old-world perceptions. We do this because they bring us a sense of familiarity. There is something to ground to. When the world within us, and around us, these perceptions provide an anchor in the storm.

Recently, there was a point where I felt my circumstances had ground to a complete halt. From the outside, it felt as if nothing had changed.

However, my internal world narrated a different story. It felt as if something was brewing, that it was to announce itself. It felt exciting and I felt expectant. In fact, despite the lack of evidence of any progress, I showed up because I wanted to. Each day felt progressive and fruitful.

While I bantered with my conflicted mind about this, I received an insight into this. I was already in the unknown. And I was trying to make sense of what I couldn't understand. Our mind always needs a sense of stability - even a mind experience of what the fall could feel like, before going all in, into the experience.

I then realized that if I stop to define, identify or make sense of the story at this point in my journey, my subconscious mind can deter my well-found momentum. The pause is very well required to check in to the process. But in this case, the process made sense, but the 'no change' didn't. I decided that I might as well keep treading the path because internally I felt as if there was tangible progress in my sense of being. It just felt as if I needed to carve my way through.

And I decided that the smartest thing to do now is to just surrender to nudges and keep going. As long as the inspiration to create overflows, I can keep going and growing through it.
