Our Bodies: An Expression of Our Consciousness

Our bodies are the physical extension of our minds, and provide an insight to them. The way we move our bodies expresses the emotional state of our minds. When we feel easy, flowing, and fleeting, we are connected to the source of our true nature. This feels real, easily accepting, unburdened, and unapologetic.

When we feel tight, resistant or distressed in our bodies, it means that there's some form of stagnation or emotional distress that we're unwilling to address, or unaware of. This manifests as physical pain, lethargy, and overthinking and brings about self-esteem issues.

Our bodies can be used as instruments to connect with our consciousness. They are created for movement and self-expression; a vessel for our creative expression. They hold intricate wisdom from our past experiences and our source selves. They also carry insights passed down biologically from our ancestors.

Our bodies are connected to our minds through our emotions. They can purge the burdened energies of our past experiences and provide a clean slate to function from an evolved state of consciousness.

When we are intentional, and notice how we feel in our bodies, it reveals the raw perception of ourselves that we have unconsciously held on to. These experiences allow us to be honest and vulnerable with ourselves; to tenderly reach out to, and embrace the qualities we have learned to neglect.

This practice teaches us compassion for ourselves. Soon enough, we learn to hold this compassion for others as well.

Our experiences can never define us. However, we are responsible for the choices that help us to evolve into a better, loving, compassionate, and wholesome version of ourselves.
